YEAR 10 BOYS FOOTBALL

Oathall 1      Imberhorne School 6
Last Friday saw our Year 10 Football team play away against Oathall. Wanting to maintain their current form of results, the boys were keen to keep their momentum going, and were eager for another win. The game started well with Imberhorne playing good football from the first whistle, and because of this, it didn’t take long for this type of play to result in goals scored. Armstrong took his chances in both the 10th and 11th minute resulting in Imberhorne going ahead by two and taking over control of the game. The confidence grew within the team, with the boys creating further chances and scoring another two goals before half time, one of which being a free kick scored by Lammas. Going into the second half, the boys knew they were to continue playing in the same way. Oathall started strong with them scoring from outside the box and adding one to the scoresheet. With a healthy lead still, Imberhorne didn’t let this impact their game and continued to apply the pressure. As a result, two further goals were scored and Imberhorne came away with the win.
Goal scorers, Armstrong x4, Latham, Lammas.
