Youth Speaks Competition - 12th November 2014

The annual Public Speaking Competition for local schools, Youth Speaks was held on Wednesday 12th November at the Chequer Mead Theatre. Imberhorne have always enjoyed success at the Rotary Club run local heat of this National Competition, and this year was no exception. We were thrilled to be represented by two amazing teams of Year 12 students.  Max Jordan, Belle Valles and Beth Whitaker spoke in an accomplished and informed manner on the issue of ‘University Fees’.  Then Niamh Herrett, Becky Joyce and Alex Hewett took to the stage to discuss their ideas and view points on ‘Feminism’.  A wonderful speech which earned them a very well deserved 2nd place, just pipped at the post by a team from Worth School. Well done to the six students who took part, we are extremely proud of you all.
