Introduction

This course encourages students to gain enjoyment, satisfaction and a sense of achievement as they develop their knowledge and understanding of the subject. This A Level course will enable students to be inspired by their geographical understanding, to engage critically with real world issues and places and to apply their geographical knowledge,
theory and skills to the world around them.

Where does it lead?

Geography combines well with both arts and science subjects. It is a broad based subject that fits well for future progression. For careers in urban regeneration, energy supply, retail location, town planning, managing the effects of hazards and climate change, law, human rights, international relations or welfare, geography is an obvious choice.
