Grim Challenge 6th December 2014

Students past and present joined Mr Byrne and Mr Dunbar for a freezing cold day of mud and water as they completed the annual Grim Challenge. 8 miles of water, mud, obstacles and hills over the British Army’s tank testing course in Aldershot lay ahead for the runners. The most experienced runner Mr Byrne, Head of P.E couldn’t help going for a swim in the icy water after losing his footing, he never fully recovered and had no chance of winning as his soaking wet, freezing cold top, weighed him down! ALL the students fared much better and completed the course in a good time. Everybody looked wet and tired and the stench on the bus for the journey home was far from pleasant. Great fun was had by all, well done to the 6th formers, staff and ex-students who took part and raised money for Fragile X.
